Nicole Rose Mathematics Teacher, Grades 6-8 G'day! That's the traditional Australian greeting. Australia is where I was born, raised and went to university. After graduating, I traveled extensively in Europe and Northern Africa before working as a Research Chemist in a pharmaceutical company in England. I lived in several countries of the world, before settling in the Unites States where my two children were born. These two have graduated from college and are beginning adult lives. I have taught middle school math since 1999, and have been at The Academy since 2004. I love how Algebra is really a series of puzzles and the way numbers can only tell one story. For me, a happy day at school is when I see the lights of understanding shine in students' eyes after a clear explanation of a new concept - they are ready to tackle problems on their own with confidence and enthusiasm. Outside of school I enjoy hiking very much, going to the gym, to the theater and especially traveling. |
